Cylindrical and white,
Sure we got an awful fright,
When it suddenly swam o’er the mountain’s peak.
Then another came in view
In the sky so clear and blue
And a woman turned and gave a piercing shriek.
All the faces turned on high
To those objects in the sky,
You could sense the helpless panic in the crowds.
Then up spoke an English gent
With an air of puzzlement
“D’ya know, old boy, I think they could be clouds.”
